Team Manitoba ID Camp Set for July 24-25 in Winnipeg

The Manitoba Aboriginal Sports & Recreation Council (MASRC) is pleased to announce the Team Manitoba Identification Camp for the 2027 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC). The camp will take place July 24-25, 2026, at Seven Oaks Arena in Winnipeg and is the only opportunity for athletes to be evaluated for Team Manitoba.

The identification camp is open to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit male and female hockey players who are Manitoba residents and were born between 2009 and 2013. Athletes must have proof of status to attend the tryouts. Athletes will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete in front of Team Manitoba coaches and evaluators as preparations begin for the 2027 NAHC.

Eligibility requirements include:

• First Nations, Métis, or Inuit
• Manitoba resident
• Born between 2009 and 2013
• Male and female players are eligible

The registration fee is $100 per athlete.

The MASRC encourages all eligible Indigenous hockey players who aspire to represent Manitoba on the national stage to attend the identification camp.
