The Manitoba Aboriginal Sports & Recreation Council is proud to announce the recipients honoured at the 2026 Night of Excellence, recognizing the outstanding achievements of Indigenous Manitobans in sport.
Held on April 15, this annual celebration recognizes athletes, coaches, and volunteers whose dedication, leadership, and achievements made a lasting impact throughout 2025.
Taylor Audette - Indigenous Athlete of the Year
A standout multi-sport athlete excelling in hockey, softball, and racing.
Athens Shingoose - Indigenous Athlete of the Year
One of Manitoba's brightest young hockey stars, earning national attention at just 15 years old.
Robyn Boulanger - Indigenous Coach of the Year
An emerging basketball leader making an impact provincially and nationally.
Josh Tripp - Indigenous Coach of the Year
A championship coach helping shape the next generation of Indigenous hockey talent.
Wendy Creed - Indigenous Volunteer of the Year
Recognized for years of leadership and commitment to Indigenous sport in Manitoba.
Quinton Denechezhe - Indigenous Volunteer of the Year
