Métis athlete Connor Church wins U SPORTS Canada Wrestling Championship!

Over the past weekend, Manitoba's Connor Church won the gold medal in wrestling at 79 kg. This is Connor's first year of U-Sports, and as a rookie he is nationally ranked as #1 across Canada.
Connor is a member of the Concordia University Stingers wrestling program, and a proud member of the Manitoba Métis Federation.
His most recent accolades include:
- 2022 National Recipient of the Tom Longboat Award
- Gold medal in the junior freestyle 79 kg category, Canadian National Wrestling Trials
- Bronze medal at the U20 Pan-American Championships
