Volleyball Manitoba Searching for Coaching Staff to Lead Northern Region

Volleyball Manitoba is currently seeking coaching staff to lead the 14U male volleyball team representing the North region at the 2024 Manitoba Games in Dauphin.

The 2024 Manitoba Games, powered by Manitoba Hydro, is a significant multi-sport event staged every two years, alternating between summer and winter sporting events. This event, the largest ongoing multi-sport event in the province, creates legacies in new sport facilities and supports amateur sport across Manitoba.

Coaching and manager positions are available, with up to three staff positions per team: Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager. At least one staff member must be of the same gender as the athletes.

Key responsibilities for coaching staff include team selection, player development, promotion of the Games, planning and execution of training, and ensuring adherence to rules and codes of conduct.

The Team Manager will support coaching staff with planning, logistics, and communication before and during the Games.

To be eligible, all team staff must meet screening requirements, technical qualifications for coaches, and age criteria. Additional screening or training mandated by the Manitoba Games is also necessary.

Interested applicants should complete the 2024 Manitoba Games Coach Application Form. All coach applicants will be contacted by January 31, 2024. For further inquiries or information, please contact Scott Koskie, Provincial Performance Coach, at volleyball.hp@sportmanitoba.ca.
